Sirona Cares started working in Haiti in January of this year. Our work with Sirona Fuels focuses on creating sustainable communities based on Jatropha farming. Jatropha is a drought resistant plant that grows on marginal land.

The floods washed away the bridge so there was no access to Sirona’s nursery by road. We went off-road and slithered and skidded through muddy fields to get as close as we could and walked the last half mile.
